Rica Fuentes Martinez, a prominent female contemporary artist, invites you to explore the depths of her work, Grund-Risse. Through watercolor and ink, she weaves historical and scientific narratives, fostering transdisciplinary thinking.
About the artist Rica Fuentes Martinez:
The focus of the work Grund-Risse is on the examination of historical ideas of various humanities in comparison with our modern state of knowledge.
In layers (watercolor or pencil and ink), I try to create a historical and social context and with scientific facts philosophically on a meta-level to show and represent on a new pictorial level.
This is intended to create spaces of thought that promote transdisciplinary thinking: Awareness and mindfulness (a closer "look") of the complexity of our society, the sciences, our history and their interconnections; Creating an awareness that we all have our own perceptions and that these are shaped by our individual histories and experiences.
As we weave and connect scientific and intellectual achievements, the digital age can help us escape from this historical cycle - one of destruction and reconstruction.
At the same time, we are more than individuals - we can connect, associate, network, and act as a group.
