About Catapult
Mission
Catapult is an independent editorial platform dedicated to contemporary art.
We curate exhibitions, artists, interviews, and independent projects within a structured digital archive designed for long-term visibility.
Founded by Dominique Foertig and Ernst Koslitsch, Catapult operates at the intersection of artistic practice and editorial research. Our work is grounded in selection, clarity, and permanence.
Each year we review a high volume of submissions. Only a limited number align with our curatorial direction. This selectivity defines the integrity of the Living Archive and reflects our long-term editorial focus.
Catapult is built to sustain presence beyond visibility cycles and to document contemporary positions through thoughtful editorial structure.
The Living Archive
The Living Archive brings together over 600 contemporary artists across exhibitions, artist features, interviews, and collaborative projects.
Each publication is conceived as part of a curated editorial framework and contributes to a growing record of current artistic practices.
Content is structured, cross-referenced, and designed for long-term discoverability across search systems.
Searchable. Indexed. Permanent.
Editorial Position
Catapult maintains editorial independence.
There is no pay‑to‑play structure.
All submissions are reviewed through a curatorial process. Collaboration begins only when there is clear alignment with the platform’s direction and values.
Curation is not volume.
It is decision.
