Context:

The exhibition presents itself as a controlled spatial arrangement. A tiled structure stands centrally, elevated on a coarse concrete base, while reliefs punctuate the surrounding walls with measured distance. The room remains quiet, almost administrative. Surfaces are pale, orderly, and resistant to immediacy. Nothing here invites immersion. Everything insists on position.

Formally, the works operate through reduction and repetition. Grids, apertures, and relief fragments reference architectural systems rather than narrative scenes. Materials associated with construction and insulation appear refined, disciplined, and deliberately slowed down. The central sculptural element reads as both barrier and interface, a structure that regulates movement, access, and exchange without fully closing itself.

What persists is a tension between authority and exposure. Openings suggest communication, but also surveillance. Reliefs depict fragments of bodies that never resolve into wholeness, remaining partially embedded in their support.

The installation holds queer corporeality within a framework that neither conceals nor releases it. Ehrenamt does not dramatize resistance. It maintains pressure, allowing restraint itself to become the dominant condition.
