❓ What is an Open Call for artists?
An Open Call is a public invitation for artists to submit their work and be considered for a curated feature, publication, or exhibition.
At Munchies Art Club, it’s your opportunity to get seen, connect with new audiences, and join a growing ecosystem of contemporary art.
❓ How does the submission process work?
After you complete your payment, you'll be automatically redirected to the submission form.
There, you can upload your artwork, write your bio, add links, and optionally include an artist statement.
Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation message – and we’ll contact you via email or DM once the selection is complete.
❓ Why should I apply to the Munchies Art Club Open Call?
Because we don’t just post your art — we create a platform around it:
- Instagram features with real reach (carousel + stories)
- Mentions in our Substack and newsletter
- Exposure on TikTok, Bluesky, and YouTube
- A group article featuring all selected artists

🗓️ When does the price go up?
As soon as we announce the new juror, the ticket price will go up to 14 €. So don’t wait—get in early and save!
❓ Who selects the artists?
Each month, we invite a new juror: an expert from the art world — artist, curator, editor, or art professional — who makes the final selection.
❓ Do I have to pay to be selected?
No. There is a small entry fee to submit your work — this helps support our independent structure and fair selection process.
But we do not sell features, and we never ask you to pay for visibility or social media exposure. This is not pay-to-play.
❓ Can emerging artists apply?
Yes — and we encourage it.
Our Open Calls are designed to be accessible. Whether you're a student, just starting out, or already exhibiting — we’re looking for quality, not résumé length.
❓ What is the deadline?
The current deadline 1 Week ( Sunday) we will anounce the selection of Artist chosen by the Jury
❓ How does the selection process work?
After the deadline:
- All submissions are reviewed by the invited juror
- A final selection of artists is curated
- Finalists are notified via email
- Features are then published on Instagram, Substack, and more
❓ Will I be featured even if I’m not selected?
We keep a database of all submitted artists.
Even if you’re not selected this month, your work may still be considered for future curated features or editorial projects.
❓ How many artists are selected?
We select between 12 and 20 artists per month, depending on the juror’s focus and the volume of high-quality submissions.
Some artists are featured via social media; others may receive a full editorial article.
❓ Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Unfortunately, no.
The submission fee is non-refundable. It supports the independent structure of this project and compensates our guest jurors for their time and expertise.
