Our Process
- Submissions are reviewed within 3-5 days by our remote curatorial team across Europe.
- If at least three out of five curators are convinced, you will receive a paid offer to feature.
- Selected artists remain on our radar for future thematic articles, newsletters, and long-term placement.
Ask Kurt is not a one-time opportunity. We create momentum for the artist long term. It is an entry into a curated circle that keeps evolving.

What is Ask Kurt?
Ask Kurt is an internal digital hub where curators, artists, and collectors review submissions together. This way we decide quickly and transparently which positions appear on Munchies Art Club, whether as an Instagram showcase, an extended feature, interview or a full feature.
Why does Ask Kurt exist?
Because we replaced traditional open calls with something more direct: every artist can submit their work for visibility on our main feed. We select based on artistic strength and curatorial momentum – not on follower count, age, or academic background..
Is there a cost involved?
Submissions are free. Cost if you are selected: Yes. Features are part of a paid package, kept fair and transparent, far below the price of running ads. What you gain is more than reach: a trusted community, a highly engaged audience, and visibility across our social media and web ecosystem.

We feature artists because their work matters – not who they know. Ask Kurt gives every artist a real chance to be seen, while we keep our curatorial standards high. Selection is based on quality, impact, and how a work fits our editorial vision. Strong submissions are not lost: we revisit them for future features and to spot trends before they break
Will every submission be accepted?
No. Each submission is reviewed individually, and we only feature work that meets our curatorial standards. But a “not now” is not a final no: you’re welcome to apply again, as we value growth, change, and artistic development over time.
What happens to my data?
We only store the information you provide with your submission: your name, Instagram URL, contact email, and the files you choose to upload. This data is kept secure and used only for internal review, potential features, or special projects.
If we plan to use your work, you will be informed first. We never sell or share your data with third parties. Privacy and transparency are important to us, and we comply with GDPR regulations.
Can I invite other artists to Ask Kurt?
Yes! We welcome submissions from artists worldwide. If you know someone whose work deserves more visibility, feel free to share Ask Kurt with them.
What if a gallery is interested in submitting?
Galleries are welcome to apply using the same form. Submissions are reviewed with the same curatorial standards we apply to individual artists. If selected, we will contact you directly with the next steps
Do I keep the rights to my images?
Yes, you keep full rights. By submitting, you grant us permission to use your images for review and, if selected, for publication on our channels. We always credit you and your photographer as well.
Where will my work be shown if selected?
Selected works appear on our Instagram feed, stories, newsletter, and website features, depending on the format chosen. ( optional multiple times also on Bluesky, YouTube and TikTok !
Can I update or withdraw my submission?
You’re always welcome to submit again with new or updated material. During the review process we do not accept changes, since every submission is considered as received. If your work is selected, we will contact you by email with the exact files and information we need.
How long does the review take?
Reviews usually take 7–14 days from your submission date. If you don’t hear from us within that time, your work is still on hold and under review for future features.
Not every submission is selected immediately, and we do not send formal rejection emails. Instead, all works remain in our archive and may be reconsidered for upcoming themes and features.
