About the artist:
Babatunde Olaleye is a Nigerian Visual artist who creates conceptual painting on Canvas as he pledges to use his art to speak for the society.
The blue color plays a very vital role in my paintings. generally I use the blue color to represents social movements, Freedom, trust, self expression, it's a color of spirituality, inner peace, and gives inspiration... I aim to achieve a deeper meaning through my art and give a voice to the voiceless..
Art is beautiful, universal and timeless, and for me it's a way for me to speak and express myself Due to my past experiences. They are also politically based and i reflect my experiences while growing up which gives so many motivation on wanting to make more. In my paintings, I use the muffler/scarf to depict self confidence, believing in yourself and having a sense of control in your life. Knowing your strengths and weakness as well, having a positive view of yourself, communicate assertively, and can handle criticism .
