Anne von Westphalen writes about her work:
Over the past year, my focus has been dedicated to creating a series of self-portraits, where my face intentionally concealed.
Each week a new portrait emerged.
Continuing in this year, I have chosen to build upon the foundation laid by my previous work.
This series aims to replicate the portraits from corresponding weeks of the previous year.
To add a new perspective, I have collaborated with AI DALL-E-2, to generate diverse variations based on each preceding portrait.
These variations will serve as the templates for this year's paintings.
By incorporating AI as a creative partner, I aim to delve into the intersection of human expression and technological advancement.
This project invites viewers to question the obscured and redefined aspects of identity, while contemplating the evolving relationship between art and technology.
